Taj Palace, New Delhi, brings to you the ‘Chinese Diaoyutai Cuisine Festival’ in association with Embassy of China and Diaoyutai State Guest House. The 10-day-long food promotion will be held at Spicy Duck – the Chinese restaurant at Taj Palace, New Delhi. Diaoyutai cuisine represents the culmination of 800 years of innovation and development, beginning in the days of the ancient imperial court and leading up to today’s Diaoyutai cuisine.
This festival is a small step towards changing the perception of Chinese food in India by presenting the authentic version of it. Six of the best Chinese chefs have travelled from China to curate delicacies that represent the essence of Chinese fine dining.
Chef Song Jun from China has efficiently crafted the menu for the festival. Explaining the festival, he says “We have organized this food festival as it represents the Chinese modern culture. The embassy of China and The Diaoyutai Guest house wish to continuously renew the traditional Chinese cuisine, add modern elements to it and improvise it.” The menu includes signature delicacies like Dragon Whisker noodles, Steamed Jiaozi and shrimps, Fresh pea paste cake, Braised assorted mushrooms and many more.
Executive Chef, Taj Palace, New Delhi, Rajesh Wadhwa says, “The Diaoyutai cuisine is the ninth major cuisine in China and it integrates merits of all other cuisines, adopting essential food ingredients. This 10-day food festival gives people access to the exclusively crafted dishes by the Chinese Guest Chefs.”
