Here is an easy and healthy recipe, Honey-Glazed Roasted Nuts, which include the dry fruits and honeyt. You can serve them in snacks.
Honey-glazed roasted nuts is as simple recipe and can be made with just a few ingredients available in your kitchen cupboard. I love this snack, the reason being it’s easy, less time taking and involves dry fruits. You might have noticed, when you visit family and friends, they sometimes just keep dry fruits in front of you in a serving tray. I never supported this idea of presenting the plain dry fruits. This is the main reason why I’m writing the roasted nuts recipe today. I usually munch the dry fruits while working, it’s healthy and you need not just take the plain dry fruits from now on.

The sweet and sour taste of dry fruits are just apt; the best part is you can always adjust the taste. If you are serving kids then I would advise you to put less chillies, else you can put chillies as mentioned in the ingredients below.
How to Make Honey-Glazed Roasted Nuts
The main ingredients are cashews, almonds, walnuts, dried coconut, dried red chillies and honey. You can add pistachios too. I didn’t add the raisins as they are already sweet and might ruin the taste. If you add, let me know how it was, else you can simply go by the recipe here.
If any of the dry fruit is not available in your kitchen cupboard, still you can continue with this recipe, such is the magic 🙂
Time taken – 10 minutes, Servings – 3-4 people.
- 2 tbsp Honey
- 1 tbsp Olive Oil/Refined oil
- 2 tbsp broken or whole cashews
- 2 tbsp almonds
- 3 tbsp walnuts (broken)
- 1/2 cup dessicated coconut, dry-shredded; you can finely slice the coconut too
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper powder
- 2 finely-chopped dried red chillies, seeded
Heat a wok till water evaporates (if any) and add the olive oil. Heat it for 10 seconds and add honey. Lower the flame and stir for 40 seconds.
Now add all the dry fruits together and roast them till light golden brown. Add salt and black pepper powder. Stir. Put off the flame now. That’s it! The roasted nuts are ready.
Take them out in a serving bowl and let them cool for 5 minutes. If kids are around, serve them in paper cones. They will absolutely love having these honey-glazed roasted nuts.
You can use coconut oil instead of olive oil or refined oil; it completely depends on the availability. I’d used olive oil.
